As with all membership organisations, the more you put in, the more you will get out.
Box Hill Lodge has just 4 official meetings per year, and for some, there are rehearsal meetings beforehand.
Financially, the annual subscription to Box Hill Lodge is currently just under £300, which covers the cost of the four meetings and the meal afterwards.
We also usually hold a raffle at each meeting, with proceeds going to the Master’s nominated charity for the year.

Through Box Hill Lodge, you can join in many activities, organised by the Surrey Masonic Sports Association, such as fishing, golf, shooting, darts, karting and events like Boxing nights.
Box Hill Lodge often enters a team or two into a Surrey Masonic Golf event.
We have a few curry nights throughout the year, which are always good fun.
Box Hill Lodge has its own 100 club, where you may be lucky to win a cash prize.
The Gala Night or weekend away is always popular and is the perfect opportunity to spoil our partners.
The simple answer is no. As long as you are a free man, 18 years of age or older.
There is no restriction regarding your religion or faith, politics or even your football team 🙂
You don’t need to know anyone who is already in the Lodge.

YES, in theory.
Obviously, it makes sense to join locally to where you live or work, purely for convenience.
There are three ceremonies you have to attend to become a ‘Master Mason’.
Therefore, it could take 1 year or sometimes slightly longer, depending on what other work the lodge has on its agenda.
Not at all. In order to enjoy the 3 degrees to become a Master Mason, you are advised to read up and understand what is going on, but beyond that, there is no obligation to learn any more.
It is your choice, but we think curiosity will get the better of you.
If you wish to climb the ladder and occupy the Master’s chair, it will take a few years, and you will have to gradually learn more about the ceremonies.
Freemasonry is not a religion.
It has no theology and does not teach any route to salvation.
A belief in a Supreme Being, however, is an essential requirement for membership.
Freemasonry has no affinity to political organisations, it has no political agenda, and discussion of politics is not permitted at Lodge meetings.
